چکیده

In this paper we propose a lightweight search language for MiniZinc that allows a user to direct the search process by employing explicitly defined search templates. A challenge in providing a standard search language is to balance expressiveness with ease of implementation. Previous work mainly introduced general frameworks that facilitate userdefined search strategies at virtually arbitrary degrees of freedom (e.g., programmable search). The goal of this paper is to propose a specific set of explicit search templates that is solver-independent, does not impose high requirements on underlying constraint solvers, and enables users to construct search strategies to tackle problems successfully at a sufficiently abstract level by using predefined search templates. We believe a standard for search should start small and expand as the community of solver writers agree to implement it. The ultimate goal of this work is to define a standard set of search templates that form a language that can be employed across various constraint solving systems.

Lightweight Parsing of Classifications

Understanding metadata written in natural language is a crucial requirement towards the successful automated integration of large scale, language-rich, classifications such as the ones used in digital libraries. In this article we analyze natural language labels used in such classifications by exploring their syntactic structure, and then we show how this structure can be used to detect pattern...

Students’ Attitude Towards English Language Learning: The Case of Iranian Junior High-School Students and Prospects Course-books

Although a surfeit of studies have examined the students’ attitude towards foreign and / or second language both inside and outside Iran, it seems scanty studies have been devoted to evaluate Prospect-trained students’ attitude towards English. This quantitative study investigated the students’ attitudes towards English language learning among 80 junior high school students in Ahvaz, Iran. Thes...

Semantic Web Search Based on Ontological Conjunctive Queries

Many experts predict that the next huge step forward in Web information technology will be achieved by adding semantics to Web data, and will possibly consist of (some form of) the Semantic Web. In this paper, we present a novel approach to Semantic Web search, which allows for a semantic processing of Web search queries, and for evaluating complex Web search queries that involve reasoning over...

Lightweight Parsing of Classifications into Lightweight Ontologies

Math Object Identifiers - Towards Research Data in Mathematics

We propose to develop a system of “Math Object Identifiers” (MOIs: digital object identifiers for mathematical concepts, objects, and models) and a process of registering them. These envisioned MOIs constitute a very lightweight form of semantic annotation that can support many knowledge-based workflows in mathematics, e.g. classification of articles via the objects mentioned or object-based se...
